According to Gus, the best way to spend his time during rainy days is to plant himself firmly on the sofa.
And that’s exactly what he did. All weekend.
It rained for a solid three days in San Antonio. And although we desperately needed the rain, it put a major wrench in our weekend plans. Long park walks were replaced by several short walks around the subdivision (click here for an über cute rainy-Gus photo!) and yard work was replaced by The Social Network.
After we returned from our walks and the water was thoroughly sopped up from his paws and belly, Gus immediately hopped up onto the sofa and hunkered down.
We hope you all had a great weekend. It’s a 3 day weekend for us (woohoo!) and we’re headed down to the River Walk this morning for a nice long walk. We’ve been cooped up in the house all weekend and are anxious to get out and stretch our legs!
P.S. We love it when Gus snoozes on his side like this. When he lifts his head, one side of his face is always smashed in. Awwww…Gus.

Shiva gets that smushy face too, it is so funny. One side of her lip is all smushed up, she looks bizarre! Gus is as cute as ever, of course. I don’t like the rain either. I admire you for using it as an excuse to stay indoors and relax.

Gus, you are so cute all snuggled on the sofa! I totally understand wanting to hibernate when it’s stormy outside. Our dogpark Finally reopened today (it’s locked when it’s raining to preserve the turf) and it was a wonderful, yet muddy, adventure! Wilbur and I were forced to have baths, but it was worth it!

Aww, we don’t like rainy days either… Aschiuta always manages to get into all the puddles and mud and then try to give me a hug. Good thing the jacket is easily washed.

Three days of rain can make for a really gloomy time and I’m sorry your outside plans were ruined by it. It looks like Gus didn’t mind the rain that much especially since the couch was so soft and welcoming!
