The temperature reached almost 80 degrees in San Antonio yesterday! It was downright balmy with the cloudless sky and the warm breeze. We took full advantage of the mild temps and spent as much time outside with the dogger as possible. Gus was utterly exhausted by Sunday afternoon and spent the rest of the day snoozing away.
Here’s a fun fact: when the mercury rises, Gus is nowhere to be found. Ever since he was a puppy he’s been hiding underneath sofas, chairs and beds. We think he goes under where it’s dark and cool, but you never can tell for sure with him.
We snapped the following photo in May of 2005. He was so little he could practically walk right under the sofa. Awww…puppy Gus.
The next photos were taken yesterday. We looked all over the house and finally found him in our bedroom…under the bed.
Gus finally grew tired of all the camera clicks and moved onto a new resting spot. He was visibly annoyed that I followed him into the family room. Oh yeah, he’s definitely giving me evil eyes.
Gus wishes the camera would somehow get thrown down the street. Maybe we better keep it locked up when we’re not home.

Gus you look so cozy. In Toms River NJ this a.m it is 10 degrees and our high for today will be around 31 degrees with a chance of snow. Would love to share your 80 in January.

I wish I were there. We’ve got 6′ of snow on the ground and another 15-20″ due on Tuesday/Wednesday. I could just cry!
But at least I have some cute Gus pictures to make me smile !

80! You are so lucky, Gus! If you don’t like the heat, maybe we should switch places and you could come live up here in the cold.

Gus, I’ am so jealous of your balmy weather.
I’m tired of having to be dressed in the snowsuit and booties just to got for a walk around the block. It’s -13°F here this morning and the snow banks in the driveway are taller than my mum.

80 degrees! I think it was a balmy 33 degrees here yesterday, with more snow expected on Tuesday…. LOL:) Tiffy seems to share Gus’s sentiments about the camera..I can almost hear her sigh sometimes when I take it out. Enjoy the nice weather…we’re looking forward to a very early spring!!

So cute! Shiva isn’t a huge fan of the super-hot weather. Last year she suffered from heat stroke and I was pretty worried about her when it climbed pretty high. Since she is afraid of water, we can’t even use that to help her cool down. Gus has the right idea, though. Maybe I need to raise our couch higher so she will fit underneath!
Enjoy all that great winter heat!

TOO CUTE!!!! I’m suffering from an overload of cuteness from these Gus pictures!
Daisy doesn’t like the heat either. If it’s hot and humid, she just sits down outside the door and refuses to move. She handles cold much better – much like her owners!
We’re thrilled to be winners of the PureBites drawing – I sent in my name and address today. Thanks so much!

When only their tails show, do they think we can’t see them? I’ve always wondered…

We’ve always wondered that too! We have several puppy photos where JUST his head is under. Oh, if only we knew what they were thinking…

Mama used to know a doggie who would sit in the bath tub on hot days! We think you should send Gus here to Chicago so he can play in the snow. Maybe he’d like cold, snowy days better than hot ones!

Awww, peek-a-boo Gus!! Such cute pics today! I like to hide underneath my human sister’s futon — then I can jump out and surprise people. Muahahaha!

Hahahah! Love the photos. When Ming was a pup he couldn’t tolerate the heat either. He would stretch himself out along the wall so that the air conditioning vent would blow straight onto his belly. He was quite obnoxious even at a very young age…

That’s Texas for you. It was a mere 70 here today. Gus does look a little annoyed with you. I can sympathesize. I had a break from pix today. Mama ran out of battery and it’s charging. I’m chewing the cord right now. He, He, he! I wouldn’t mind the 80 degrees, but I think it might mean a hair cut for me and I don’t like the groomers!
Smell you later,

I’m so jealous of your warm weather… I’m tired of being cold.
Bella loves to hide under couches and beds too – I think she’d applaud Gus for that plan.

80 degrees! Nice.. Can’t wait for warm weather! We used to have a Pomeranian that I swear lived under the couch. Poor Chunyo’s tush is too big to squeeze under there. Gus does look a little annoyed. I can relate – check out Chunyo’s cranky pic from this weekend! Not happy!
